this is what’s in your tap water according to Google AI:
Water treatment plants intentionally add disinfectants, coagulants, and dental health additives to make tap water safe and beneficial to drink.
Intentionally Added Substances
-
Disinfectants: Chlorine or chloramine is added to kill harmful bacteria, viruses, and germs as water travels through pipes.
-
Fluoride: Compounds like fluorosilicic acid or sodium fluoride are often added to help prevent tooth decay.
-
Coagulants and Flocculants: Chemicals like aluminum sulfate (alum) are mixed in to clump together tiny dirt and sediment particles so they can be easily filtered out.
-
pH Adjusters: Substances like calcium hydroxide or sodium carbonate are used to control water acidity and prevent metal pipes from corroding.
i am not going to bore you by talking about Fluoride …
instead it is the Chlorine that is scary to me. they add enough Chlorine to tap water to kill living things in that water DEAD.
what are the odds that drinking that stuff is not fucking you up ?
remember Chlorine is literally bleach.
you know when people joke saying “drink bleach” meaning “kill yourself” well everybody who drinks tap water is unironically drinking bleach - all day every day
then they wonder whey they look like ass at 30 while the rich look good at 50
THE RICH DO NOT FUCKING DRINK BLEACH !

when i swim in a Chlorinated pool my skin itches afterwards. Chlorine is added to the pool for the same reason it’s added to tap water - to kill bacteria.
people who drink tap water are DRINKING THAT STUFF
i bet some of you retards are thinking “if this was harmful the government would say so”
why of course they would. just like how after 9-11 the government said the air quality was good and people could return to work - then they all got cancer from breathing asbestos dust. or like how after Fukushima the Japanese government simply increased the official allowable radiation level.
do you think your government would admit that tap water is unsafe to drink ? a woman recently posted on FB that water in her tap ( which was brown ) was unsafe to drink and WAS ARRESTED for this post.

i was shitting on Urbanists on X as usual today and joked how i will agree not to buy an SUV if they agree to deliver my drinking water to me from Costco on their bicycles …
as a response to this an Urbanist told me that i should be drinking tap water …
think about this … if it were to come out that tap water is killing you everybody who is currently drinking it would be buying a car so they can buy bottled water at the store … imagine what kind of setback this would be to the elites who have been working diligently for decades to convince people to ditch cars in favor of bicycles ?
they would NEVER admit tap water is poison. and they can’t stop putting Chlorine in there because if they did bacteria would grow, clog the pipes and kill people.
you can’t send drinking water through tens of miles of 100 year old pipes made of varying materials and have something suitable for human consumption come out the other end. you also can’t admit this because the alternative is more cars and more plastic - something the elites would never accept.

Heh, i completely forgot the brainwashing goy slaves undergo regarding this but this slave reminded me:
The same shit is in bottled water except you also get the benefit of lower regulations on quality, filtering, and sanitization, with a healthy dose of microplastics from the bottle. And it’s more expensive and polluting! The best of no worlds!
my response:
seriously i forgot these Goyim worship the government and believe the government is protecting them. they think tap water is safe because it is REGULATED BY GOVERNMENT.
i heard this said by many people. this is a talking point drilled into their feeble minds. freedom bad. government good.
they really think the elites who run the show care about them. LOL. they are too dumb to figure out the elites only care about their precious little planet not turning into a landfill that looks like India when everybody starts buying bottled water. they don’t care what the price in terms of health will be for people drinking bleach - they ( elites) aren’t drinking it themselves ! the elites are drinking water made from 1000 year old blocks of ice from the Arctic delivered to them in glass bottles.

of course factually this is simply not true. none of those things - Chlorine, Fluoride etc. are added to bottled water. you can research that yourself. this is what is sad - is how hard these subhuman lemming Goyim are coping to justify drinking poison because they are too poor to buy bottled water.
they are the same as people who argue that Organic food is a scam and insist on eating pesticides that chemically castrate them and give them cancer. then they wonder why everybody is infertile, gay and has cancer.
if these Goyim Cattle didn’t have defective brains the elites would have never been able to control them, because freedom and slavery are not external - they are internal characteristics of the mind.
Freedom and Slavery are a choice just like Success and Failure.

Im running this in my house Amazon.com || of course that doesnt save me but best solution I have for clean water in a city for now.
Also curious your take on your constant exposure to chlorine in swimming pools, doesnt that your body essentially absorbs it via skin and how you view long term effects. Same deal w taking showers w flouride and chlorine and all else daily.
yeah my parents run Reverse Osmosis at their Brooklyn place too, though their system doesn’t remineralize the water
frankly the “purified” water i buy from Costco is also probably just tap water passed through Reverse Osmosis with minerals added … but Costco sells 40 pack of 500ml bottles for $3.99 and i have to go there anyway to buy food so there is no real incentive for me to install RO system at home …
i never tried an RO system that remineralizes water but the basic one we had in Brooklyn that only removes everything ( without putting anything back ) produced water that had a slightly unpleasant taste similar to distilled water. it tastes like drinking some kind of solvent or acid with metallic aftertaste. i know it really is pure water, but spring water is not pure water and we are used to spring water as reference for what water SHOULD taste like so actually pure RO water tastes wrong by comparison, unless it is remineralized.
the bottled “purified” Costco water i buy tastes better because i am guessing they put in a balance of minerals back in there ( honestly i haven’t read the label - it’s such a great value compared to other options that i haven’t been motivated to look what’s in there. i just assumed it’s a bootleg version of Nestle PureLife )
this whole thread was meant to be an attack on Urbanism more so than a serious discussion of water quality. this is why i never mentioned RO in this thread because that would have complicated the discussion. RO is good technology - the main weakness as i see it is the need to put minerals back after RO strips them to achieve proper taste and PH. i think this is easier to do at the bottling plant than to try to achieve this using a home RO system but home RO system is definitely a valid option too.
one other option i haven’t mentioned on purpose is water delivery services. you can have water delivered monthly to your premises by a water truck. i tried that service back in New Jersey but it costs roughly double compared to buying water from Costco. for me the kitchen is a few steps from the garage so i don’t want to pay extra to have water delivered. but it may be worth it for some, just like RO may be worth it for some.

the pool i swim in now has very little Chlorine because it’s an outdoor pool on a top of a hill with no trees or other vegetation nearby ( very wide deck on all sides ) so no leaves fall into the pool. in this setup UV radiation from sunlight kills most of the bacteria without a need for much chlorine. some pools are under trees with leaves falling into the pool or in the shade or altogether indoors and those might need more chlorine.
GOOGLE AI DOES NOT AGREE WITH ME. SAYS SUNLIGHT DOES NOT HELP DISINFECT POOLS. BUT ADMITS SUNLIGHT DISINFECTS OTHER BODIES OF WATER. IT ALSO ADMITS THAT UV PENETRATES POOL WATER SO YOU STILL GET A TAN BY SWIMMING. IT ALSO ADMITS THAT UV KILLS BACTERIA. BUT FOR WHATEVER REASON SAYS THIS DOESN’T HAPPEN IN POOLS, PROBABLY BECAUSEU UV DESTROYS CHLORINE MAKING IT COUNTERPRODUCTIVE IN THE MIND OF AI.
one other way to reduce the need for chlorine is salt water pools. the indoor pool i used to swim in back in New Jersey was a saltwater pool. it had Chlorine but less than what a freshwater pool would have because the salt apparently helps with the bacteria and of course your own blood is a salt solution so the salt is not harmful to you - quite the opposite - it should theoretically make your skin absorb less water.
in Florida as well there are “crystal lagoons” which are basically giant pools with sandy beaches and the innovation there is they use a computerized system that monitors water conditions and only uses minimum chemicals required to keep bacteria population down. in regular small pools lifeguards use test strips to maintain a pre-set chlorine level but nobody monitors bacteria so chlorine always needs to be much higher than might actually be necessary just to be on the safe side.
so that may be another reason my pool has low chlorine - it is a very large pool used by multiple teams so maybe they have a more advanced testing protocol that allows them to maintain lower chlorine levels and still ensure safety.
the good thing about Chlorine is it has a strong smell. you can tell how much Chlorine is in pool water just by smell. of course in an indoor pool the smell will be much stronger than outdoor pool which doesn’t mean there is more chlorine in the WATER. however in MY pool i can’t smell the Chlorine AT ALL.
as for showering i knew a girl who installed a filter in the shower head to remove chlorine but i think that is extreme. if you’re worried maybe keep a shorter haircut so you can wash your hair faster.
i also do not think you need to spend a lot of time in the pool. most people choose to treat pools as a way to burn calories which is a slow process - but if you instead choose to treat swimming as a way to get a pump or increase fitness by doing sprints you only need a few minutes. you will never overcome excess calories in the diet by exercise anyway unless you’re a professional endurance athlete. better to just count / limit the calories you eat by using meal prep or otherwise. and if you do want to burn calories by exercise something like walking on incline or stairmaster at low speed is a practical way to do it.
with my outdoor pool my main concern is actually getting sunburned.
