What I will do is to begin with the films you rated 3.5 -5.0 on Movielens. I have been out of the loop watching movies for long enough that this should give a rough idea of what’s out there. The last time I saw a lot of movies in the theater was when I used to go with a gf because I really had no interest at that time in seeing popular stuff by myself for any reason.
