the good news for @OldFriendSaysHello is that the slowest, most congested cities are also the most prosperous …
this is sort of the trade off. you can have a rich megacity with traffic and rampant crime - or you can have a clean small town with nothing much going on.
according to new analysis ( link below ) for 2025 the worst traffic in US goes to:
1st place - Washington DC
Miami - 3rd
NYC - 6th
Orlando - 12th
and yes i absolutely felt it in DC, which is actually why i lost interest in moving there. i was just trying to pass through on my way to Florida and i got stuck there pretty good. what was most shocking to me was that the traffic was in BOTH DIRECTIONS and i believe it was on a SATURDAY ! ! ! it was comically bad.

definitely felt traffic in Orlando and Tampa as well. Jacksonville not so much.
LA traffic was bad too, but that was like 15 years ago.
