and tell me whether it would have been better if the car had more horsepower ?
the answer is NO.
then consider the Moose Test:
which of course no car reviewers do because they are retards and make content for retards and doing something actually useful or meaningful would be off brand for them.
then consider this interview with Christian Von Koenigsegg:
something revealing he says during the interview is that Hypercars are built from the tires up. a new tire comes out and you build a car around it. that’s because tires are the ultimate limit - not power.
so when evaluating a car you should:
1 - ask what tires it comes with from the factory
yes you can put any tire on any car but a car is tuned for a particular tire that it comes with from the factory. putting supercar tires on a honda civic is like putting a giant spoiler or extra loud fart can on the same civic.
2 - ask what tire pressures are recommended for this car
as i previously explained the lower the tire pressure the higher the performance. F1 cars have lowest tire pressures and trucks and buses have the highest. pressures in a bus / truck tire are FOUR TIMES higher than in F1 car.
basically low tire pressure + short tire life span = high performance ( F1 tires last just 100 miles )
high tire pressure + long tire life = low performance ( semi truck tires last 100,000 miles )
to achieve low tire pressures you need wide tires and low car weight - basically any supercar meets this criteria
ultra low profile tires require higher pressure to avoid bottoming out on potholes and can come with a hit to performance as a result - these are mainly for style and not performance.
the new BMW M5 actually has fairly high tire side wall in the front because it is so nose heavy and with ultra low profile tires the pressure would be too high for acceptable performance. the downside of course is that with a smaller rim the brakes are now too small to slow down such a heavy car. this is why BMW doesn’t let anybody test that car on the race track - because it is too nose heavy to perform. it can only do straight line accelerations.
by contrast Mercedes WANTS you to test C63 on the track because it has perfect weight distribution with battery and electric motor in the rear - but nobody cares because people just want the sound of a V8.
decades ago i lost all respect for “Audiophiles” ( old, deaf Jews ) and since then i have likewise lost respect for car “enthusiasts” ( Niggers, Spics, Russians and Teenagers )
at the end of the day all an Audiophile understands is how much silver is used in the cables of a system and all a car enthusiast understands is how loud the exhaust is …
it’s sickening
