Report from the 2nd Florida Trip

well that was a clusterfuck LOL

my original flight to Tampa was cancelled because it was literally on the day when Helene was going to hit the area … but i felt lucky because i was allowed to reschedule for free for a week later and instead of a late night flight i was able to get a much more expensive mid-day flight at no extra charge - i felt lucky !

when i landed and tried to rent a car Enterprise was out of cars … so was Budget … and everybody else …

because all the FUCKING RETARDS who buy homes in flood zones got their cars wiped out and they dried up the inventory …

i was finally able to rent a car from “ACE Rent-A-Car” which was a dodgy outlet but i had no choice.

then it was time to get a hotel and that is when i realized … hotels, just like cars … were also ALL out … ALL OF THEM

because again, the idiots who lived in flood zones got wiped out and were living in hotels …

using google and calling hotels didn’t work but finally i stumbled on a solution - using hotels.com

that system seemed to be have better real-time information and i was able to find a hotel about 60 miles inland halfway to Orlando …

then just two days later as i was driving to meet up with my Real Estate agent i was running low on gas but the gas station had a line … and so did the next one … and the next … and every single gas station in the entire Tampa Bay area … but i didn’t understand what was going on yet so when my turn to fill up came and the pump would only take cash ( typical Florida 3rd World BS ) i only put $20 in because i didn’t know if $40 would fit …

by the time i realized that Milton was coming and that’s why everybody was buying gas all the stations were already out …

i ordered a ticket back that would be one day before Milton hits … but that flight got cancelled the next day …

i then went to extend my hotel stay so i could fly back AFTER Milton but they told me they were out and couldn’t extend me and i had to get out …

so Milton was coming, i was getting kicked out of Hotel, i had no gas, the gas stations were out and my ACE Rent-A-Car contract wouldn’t allow me to leave Florida plus there was $100 per day penalty for extending the contract because of the car shortage …

i told this to my Real Estate agent and he suggested two options:

1 - refuse to leave the hotel, go to prison if necessary ( to ride out the storm there )
2 - buy an inflatable mattress and ride the storm out in an unfinished new construction home that we were touring the day before …

i started calling all the gas stations in the area and eventually one of them said they had gas - i couldn’t believe it but i went there and they did - after standing in line for maybe 15 minutes i was able to fill up a full tank - enough to leave Florida

i then called ACE and they said that due to hurricane they would waive all the restrictions and i could extend my contract and leave the state - so that’s what i did

i drove to Charleston, North Carolina and stayed there until Milton passed …

by then Tampa was PROPERLY FUCKED with 80% of homes without power so i decided to return from Orlando instead of Tampa ( ACE only had locations in Florida - i couldn’t just fly back from North Carolina - i had to return the car to ACE, and Orlando was their closest location )

the earliest ticket back i could find would give me 2 days in Orlando …

so i reserved a hotel in Orlando ( there was no shortage of hotel space anymore because everybody had evacuated out of Florida for Milton ) and was able to stay in a very nice hotel actually for a decent rate … this in sharp contrast to paying a high price for shit hotel a week earlier when all the hotels were full … and in contrast to having to drive all the way to Charleston to find a hotel during evacuation.

while Tampa was still fucked Orlando was very much back in business. there were no lines for gas. there was no shortage of hotel rooms. and the weather was perfect.

in fact even as i was evacuating from Tampa area i had to drive through Orlando and the fuckers at Disneyworld were doing fireworks … WHILE UNDER MANDATORY EVACUATION ORDERS.

anyway i actually loved it in Orlando. it somehow was much more to my taste than Tampa.

the only parts of Tampa bay area i liked were downtown St. Petersburg and Clearwater Beach. the areas where i would actually be shopping for homes i didn’t like much and the bay area itself including Tampa Downtown was mostly niggers and homeless people.

Orlando somehow was much cleaner and whiter. I didn’t expect this at all. Everything i read online and all the demographic maps i studied suggested the opposite - that Orlando is a shithole - and my buddy from Brooklyn also told me to stay away from Orlando … but it was honestly like a paradise.

Granted, it was literally disneyworld ( my hotel was like two blocks from Disney ) but that whole vibe seemed to permeate the rest of the area …

aside form my hotel and the surrounding disney areas i was able to visit the night club area of downtown on Friday Night at midnight … the cops blocked off all the streets for the night turning the entire area into like an outdoor mall filled with half naked girls …

i didn’t get out of the car so i wasn’t able to get very close to the clubs themselves but i got close enough to see what kind of meat they were serving there … the girls looked fairly basic but most had nice figures and pretty much all were half naked …

the next day i was able to visit “Lake Nona” area which is the premier suburb in Orlando and it was shockingly nice … as nice as “Triple Creek” in Tampa but without the ( rich ) Niggers …

again i didn’t expect this because bestneighborhood.org map showed this area as hispanic but it was upper middle class white area … even if it was hispanic it was WHITE hispanic …

i can’t afford to live in Lake Nona area but the trip revealed a large discrepancy between the demographic map i was using and reality … based on the map Tampa was the superior city but based on my on-the-ground observation it was Orlando that was superior …

there is a newer and less premium suburb being built right behind Lake Nona called “Sunbridge” that should be significantly more affordable and the current plan is to try to find something there …

Sunbridge is being developed by the same developer who created Lake Nona which has become highly acclaimed so there is reason to believe Sunbridge will also be good, just a little further out from downtown and airport and a bit more basic …

i visited Sunbridge but had no time to discuss it with an agent because it was my last day in Florida …

when i got back to Newark the shitheads sent my luggage to wrong carousel but it was not a big issue - aside from my beloved Tegra-Lite getting unnecessarily scratched up by the A2 carousel while i was looking for it on A3 …

my United app and the flight attendant both said A3 but the screens at luggage claim level said A2 … and also A2 is where i got it on my 1st trip to Florida … but by the time i figured out the situation the luggage has been circling the carousel for a while accumulating scratches … oh well …

anyway, i then decided to try Uber E ( Electric ) as it was only about $5 more than Uber Comfort and while i don’t regret trying it ( it was interesting because it was my first time in a Tesla ) i won’t be using it again

i was picked up in a Model 3 Tesla and the ride was quite punishing and also there were no handles to hold on to above windows as in normal cars because Elon Musk has determined that it would be too much luxury for a “premium” car …

i had a MUCH nicer time going TO the airport in a Toyota Highlander using Uber Comfort for 5 dollars less …

anyway this concludes the trip report.

i now have to deal with some local bullshit here in NJ and then i want to go back to Orlando and if it’s still within hurricane season i will probably just drive there because i don’t want to get trapped in Florida like last time again where i had to return the car back to a Florida location after the hurricane …

but if my next trip will be after the Hurricane season ends maybe i would fly again …

we’ll see …

also i still hope @Alkiphron will consider being my tenant.

or split the cost of the house with me.

i actually have no idea how much house i can afford in Sunbridge - i will worry about that when i am in Orlando next time.

Sunbridge is definitely going to be cheaper than New Hampshire but probably more expensive than Parrish area in Tampa Bay that i was considering …

you can get a VERY nice home in Parrish for a reasonable price but it is quite far from any place you would want to be …

because of the nature of Tampa Bay having water in the middle every thing is more spread out versus Orlando … areas close to the action are expensive … and clean affordable areas like Parrish are separated by 20+ miles of highway from basically everything …

by contrast Sunbridge is much less isolated than Parrish so even if it costs more it would be worth it IMO …

the other issue in Florida that my realtor explained is CDD

basically in Florida you’re not just buying a new home - you’re buying a new home in an area that is completely new so you’re paying not just for the home but also for the development of the area - that is financed through CDD

so you’re talking about $3,000 to $5,000 per year of CDD ( basically a tax ) to cover things like new roads and so on that had to be built for that area …

but on the upside you do get to live in a completely brand spanking new area where EVERYTHING is completely new

that is an area where not a single building is over 5 years old - not shopping centers nor schools nor hospitals or gyms - EVERYTHING is brand new

but the real reason you would want to live in Orlando is that on October night girls are wearing skirts so short that they don’t even cover their whole ass

because even at midnight in the middle of October the temperature is still in the 80s …

whereas it would be closer to 50s in NYC …

in fact the low tonight will be 34F here in NJ but 69F in Orlando … quite a difference …

the truly dedicated whores of course will still be half naked even in below freezing temperature - i remember that well from my clubbing days when it was freezing on Halloween but all the hoes were still wearing the costumes they paid $$$ for which barely covered any of their skin … i remember i was freezing in winter jacket and they seemed to be fine half naked …

still, it is conceivable that if the weather drops to like 20F some girls might start putting on clothes or perhaps not hang out on the sidewalk for hours … whereas in Orlando this is simply not something you would have to worry about …

the coldest January nights in Orlando would still be about 40F and Hoes are able to handle this with basically no clothes on …

even away from the clubbing area, in fact in the DisneyWorld area - girls were still walking around half naked

there was a pretty girl walking with her stomach bare and a chubby girl with her butt cheeks showing because of how short her skirt was

you don’t normally see that in New Jersey because it is cold most of the year and people here are more accustomed to wearing clothes unless they are drunk

but girls in Florida simply wear less clothes which also forces them to stay in better shape year round as they can’t hide their fat behind clothes in winter …

that i would say is the main reason to move to a place like Orlando …

i remember in NYC there is always that time of the year which is usually around march or may when the weather finally improves and all the girls become horny and finally start to dress sexy and you’re like “yes, the winter is finally over”

well in Orlando the summer is just that much longer and there really is no winter at all …

considering how short life is and that we only have so many summers left i think that’s a pretty compelling reason to live in a place like Orlando or ( if you can afford it ) Miami …
