kind of sad but also Bugatti put itself into a corner where they needed 16 cylinders just to differentiate themselves from Lambo’s 12 and Lambo itself only needed 12 to differentiate itself from their V8 model and the V8 model was already fast enough …
i felt like VW’s line up is too crowded with too many models fighting each other
like for example why didn’t VW put turbos on the Revuelto ? the answer is because it would then be faster than Chiron.
No Bugatti = Problem Solved
Revuelto is a pair of turbos away from Tourbillon performance
as for what happens to Bugatti Rimac - they will become another Koenigsegg
Rimac is also good friends with Koenigsegg and used to provide them with EV components so perhaps they will continue to collaborate
i don’t see them merging as neither of those two guys would accept being anything but the boss but they can probably share technology. Koenigsegg can sell engines to Bugatti Rimac and Bugatti Rimac can sell motors and batteries to Koenigsegg for example.
in other words Andrew Tate and Sam Altman won’t run out of cars to buy.
