my goal is to get a place in a solid green area along a charter bus route.
i was able to find such a place but it’s all the way up by Concord.
if we split the house 50/50 to stretch the house budget by about 30% i could cut the distance to Boston in half.
Spent a third weekend in New Hampshire / Boston area … came back an hour ago.
the house i went to see went under contract hours before i could see it …
however i did tour a few open houses and also refresh my feel for the area with some new impressions …
Boston in Summer is definitely a nice place to visit. I would rather spend summer in Boston than some shithole like Italy.
In winter though … well we know it will be bad … the main difference from NYC i think is that when it snows in NYC the snow usually melts eventually … in Boston i hear it can just stay there for MONTHS …
so the key is to make sure you have some plan for how you will get snow off your driveway …
