the least surprising thing happened - new Turbo S is basically the GTS Hybrid but with two electric turbos instead of one. I previously wrote here that they will go to two electric turbos for the top model, but that was kind of obvious TBH.
Porsche believes that extra turbo is worth extra $100,000 over the GTS … even though the entire C63 AMG ( that also has an electric turbo ) costs less than $100,000.
personally i do not understand how being a fraction of a second faster to 60 mph is worth $100,000 but clearly that car is not for me

it does line up neatly just below the Temerario in both price and horsepower, proving once again that both cars are just VolksWagens designed to fit a designated spot in that company’s portfolio but naive fools will believe that Porsche and Lambo are both “small automakers”
there is nothing small about VW. it’s the biggest automaker in the world.
there are no gaps or overlaps in VW portfolio proving that all these automakers like Porsche and Lambo that pretend to be independent companies are nothing more than brands of the same company just like how “Jordan” is just a brand of Nike.
fucking gold diggers. selling fake emotions. it’s nothing but spreadsheets to them and if you get emotional about their products you’re an AUTOMOTIVE SIMP.
please note i didn’t say the car is overpriced. clearly some very smart people at VolksWagen have thought about what the price should be and there must be some logic to it. but when you are paying $100,000 for an extra turbo you should at the very least pause for a second and ask yourself - why am i doing this ?
whatever you think you’re paying for you have to realize you’re actually just paying to let everybody know that you’re rich. but very few people will get that message because 99% of people won’t know the difference between a base 911 and Turbo S. that said, Porsche doesn’t need to sell many Turbo S units either to make a profit.
also on my recent trip to Orlando there were C8 Corvettes EVERYWHERE. they were renting them at the airport, on Turo, they were all over the streets, at a gas station etc. my guess is C8 Corvette is outselling 911 on Orlando by a ratio of 10 to 1. but it might be different in Miami.
i just don’t know how anybody can get excited about something as cynical as a Porsche. i feel bad for car reviewers whose job is to pretend to orgasm every time a new 911 comes out. but that’s why they’re the presstitutes.
reminds me of a “sniff petrol” satire about a 3-wheel-drive 911 where a Porsche exec explains that to reach a target level of performance for the variant they determined that 4WD would be too much and 2WD not enough so they went with 3WD. although satire that is literally how VolksWagen designs cars and then it’s the job of the car reviewers to gush over “engineering” and “connection with the driver” and blah blah blah.
