it may be my head playing tricks on me or even Twitter algorithm somehow picking up that i am interested in Florida and sending those stories my way …
but it’s starting to look almost as bad as San Francisco in some ways …
during the Pandemic of course Florida was a shining beacon as DeSantis was preparing to run for President and did a lot of things right …
but then Pandemic ended and DeSantis showed his true colors Sucking Israeli cock as he actually ran for pres …
and now it’s all stories about Blacks and Latinos committing all sorts of crime coming out of Florida …
it’s crazy because just 2 or 3 years ago everybody was moving to Florida ( and Texas ) from California and now somehow it seemingly is becoming California ( but with Gun Rights )
with Miami being just 14% Non-Hispanic White - what exactly is the logic of all the Finance Bros like @OldFriendSaysHello moving there ?
and more importantly - is Florida going to just become part of the Caribbean - good for nothing but tourism ?
i suppose Florida was always to some extent about Tourism but it was not always part of the Caribbean …
to me Miami is a bit like Dubai - a place that, for reasons i can’t understand, attracts rich and famous while actually being part of the 3rd world …
i know 100% that Florida demographics-wise is not for me. instead for me as a physics enthusiast the appeal of Florida is you can heat a home there with nothing more than solar panels and a regular ( not even geothermal ) heat pump. you literally need no fuel at all - not oil, not propane nor nat gas - nothing. and you can offset your electrical grid power draw with solar panels.
New Hampshire is the opposite. Demographics are spot on. Physics are abysmal.
i’m just trying to figure out which is the more fatal flaw of the two.
for example this popped into my timeline right now:

pretty sure Twitter is now feeding me these Florida stories but still - never get news like this out of New Hampshire …
You should come visit - more than welcome to crash at my place I’ll show you around.

Basically there is so much money here and people walking around w 50k watches everywhere etc niggers seeing all this are aping about drooling but still its probably the most safest city to flash cash and not be killed for it.

People move to Florida for the weather
not so much the weather itself but the lifestyle that comes with the weather
boomers go to Florida for cruise ship resort lifestyle
young people go there for night life clubbing lifestyle
temperatures are much lower at night so Night Life favors hotter climates
i think Florida is not a place where you go to make money but a place where you go to spend it … this is why you can “Flash Cash” there and not get killed …
on other hand Boston is the opposite - people make money there - but there is nothing to do with the money. just like Miami is famous for its night life, Boston is notorious for not having any LOL.
the cold weather in Boston forces people to focus on day-time activities to make the most of what little sunlight they have there.
Well yeah. As someone who loves to spend time outdoors I have considered moving there so I can do that year round. It’s not worth living in Florida though and feeling like you are in a mental asylum. I’d rather live in Latin America somewhere than live in Florida.

Agreed re making money aspect, its not a place to make money at all. You want to be in NYC for that and maybe some other east coast cities, dont know much about Boston aside from visiting it couple of times. FL doesnt have that GOGOGO of Manhattan culture.

Recently visited Chicago - liked it a lot more than NYC - maybe something to consider for you. Unlike media reports of apes running amok there, it wasnt the case in reality during my visit. City super clean (unlike NYC or LA or SF), architecture is fantastic for a city in comparison to Manhattan because it is more spacious in Chicago thus beautiful old buildings are quite visible amonsgt newer skyscrapers, no traffic unlike in NYC and it’s on the lake w beautiful blue water vs green/brown musky shit of NYC.
Chicago is big, so like in NYC there will be nice parts and horrible parts. I been to Chicago once for about an hour and it looked basically the same as NYC to me.
But the real reason i am not really interested in Chicago is it basically has the same horrible weather as Boston.
in Boston you get some benefits though - you can live in New Hampshire ( an hour away ) which has:
1 - lowest homicide rate of all states
2 - among the whitest of all states
3 - among the best gun rights of all states
and you can work in Boston which has benefits such as:
1 - Education ( Harvard, MIT etc. )
2 - Tech ( Boston Dynamics, Bose, BAE systems, IBM etc. )
3 - Asian Girls !
just kidding about Asian Girls, there are so many of them there, that it actually made me realize i prefer white girls. California is the same - Asian Girls everywhere.
not like i’m realistically ever gonna have a job or a GF but rather my point is the combo of Boston and New Hampshire has everything i want except the weather.
whereas Chicago has the same bad weather but seems to be inferior to Boston in everything else ( of the things that i care about ). granted, i know absolutely nothing about Chicago.
I don’t know where in Chicago you visited but Chicago has probably the worst traffic in the country and some of the worst in the world.
the thing with traffic is it’s the worst when it matters the most - namely when you try to get to or from work.
if you’re visiting as a tourist on a Weekend ( like when i went to Boston ) it is hard to judge.
