understand - when Urbanists show you how great narrow European streets with no car traffic are they are showing you the perspective of tourists who are there in the Summer to get a tan and buy trinket souvenirs … they are NOT showing you what it is like to live in a real car-free city.
and likewise when they show you “unwalkable suburban sprawl” they always show you satellite images of parking lots, as if that’s how people actually live - in an orbit in space looking down on parking lots through a telescope …
they never show you pictures like this:
because if they did their followers would realize that cities are h3ll and that they should move out to the suburbs …
in fact simply living in suburbs would cause them to become straight and start families.
