I am in Tampa, FL area

more specifically in Wesley Chapel area

ended up flying United Airlines 1st Class and it was pretty nice - they served really good Cobb Salad ( Chicken Salad )

as i was leaving for the airport i put one of the Tumi Tegra-Lite checked bag ( that i bought for this trip ) on the porch and went inside for a moment to look things over but this is my first set of Spinner Style ( 4 Wheel ) luggage and i didn’t realize there is an ever so slight slope to the porch to assist with rain water runoff then suddenly i hear the bag tumbling down the concrete steps LOL

so yes, brand new, never used Tumi, loaded with weight, took a tumble down CONCRETE stairs on day one and it wasn’t on United Airlines but 100% on ME being a fucking idiot.

the bag had a gloss finish so the scratches from concrete are quite noticeable and in other areas the gouging is pretty deep. the corner guard looks like that thing Moto GP racers wear on their knees now and the thick plastic piping around the zipper in one spot was almost completely shaven off, but it seems to have protected the zipper.

functionally i haven’t noticed any effects from the tumble - there also don’t seem to be any dents or cracks though i haven’t really looked for them.

this plus my experience filling out Tumi luggage tags convinced me that i myself am the weak point in Tumi luggage - the luggage is too nice and i am too stupid.

i think Tumi is 100% worth the price, but i am just not worthy of it when i am causing more damage to it myself than the Airlines.

i almost broke the luggage tag using force before realizing they were different sizes on my Backpack and Carry On, which was so embarrassing i had to take a depression nap, which ended up being 9 hours. then the next morning i had it tumble down the stairs, but had no time for naps as Uber was waiting …

Tumi seems to have survived my abuse in both cases and in both cases deserves a lot of credit for their excellent design, engineering and build quality - myself on other hand - i only deserve to be spat on for being not worthy of it.

you know how when you see an ugly degenerate piece of shit guy dating a beautiful and innocent young girl and you just feel sick ?

i kind of feel that way about myself using Tumi luggage. i am the piece of shit and Tumi is the beautiful girl i don’t deserve.

i ended up with an All-Tumi matching luggage set, with an ( outlet ) Backpack and three Tegra-Lite pieces, a carry-on and two checked bags.

This set cost more than my laptop LOL, but it makes sense because i think Tegra-Lite is actually the best luggage ever made, whereas my Laptop is good but not the best.

though admittedly even the laptop ( Asus ROG Zephyrus DUO ) is better than what i deserve as i made some depression-nap-inducing mistakes with it as well …

so when things aren’t good i return them ( i returned Thule luggage as well as Acer laptop ), but when they ARE good i end up taking depression naps unable to forgive myself for mis-using them …

life is pain.

anyway i took about 25 pounds of food with me and made a point to rent a hotel room with a full kitchen ( it even has dishwasher and sink with food disposal ).

i will detail what worked and what didn’t as far as eating when i get back.

but i can already tell you i much prefer this eating experience to the ones i had on previous trips where i lacked in both experience and preparation.

it took me a month to buy all the food for this trip as well as 12 hours ( nonstop ) to pack resulting in me not sleeping for 2 days straight … but i can’t blame sleep deprivation for that bag tumbling down concrete steps as i am pretty sure i would have made that mistake anyway even if i had slept … it was just completely unexpected for me …

the fucking bag even tried rolling away from me in the airport where the floor had no slope for rain water runoff ( we’re talking indoors ) but the bag just seems to always want to roll somewhere on its own … and to think people pay extra ( over Tumi ) for Rimowa to get better wheels …

well, i suppose it’s just because it’s brand new. once it has been used probably the wheels won’t be this smooth anymore - one can hope LOL

anyway the actual area i’m in is Wesley Chapel.

it’s like an up and coming suburb here.

everything is new and big.

a bit more Niggers than in Washington DC but i knew that coming in - i am willing to compromise for mild winters.

no area is perfect - which is why i need such extensive testing.

also i finally took an HDMI cable with me and hooked up the laptop to Hotel’s TV to watch porn on the big screen.

this way i don’t have to try to fap while hunched over the laptop.

that worked pretty well. although it depends on other things like room layout and furniture so it may not always be useful but where i am now it is.
