i now own a few different kinds of musician’s earplugs but for midrange accuracy Etymotic Research is still king …
Westone are much sleeker / sexier and comfortable though …
what’s great about Etymotic is you can use the same EQ setting with and without them - you only need to boost treble with no other adjustments.
with Westone you have to go in deeper into EQ and that can get cumbersome when you switch back and forth.
Westones do sound high-end, they just require EQ.
Etymotics sound kinda plain but in a good way.
