3 stars. It’s decent.
i suppose back in 1988 it would have been a 5 star movie.
but as you may have noticed i’m not particularly kind to old movies.
Jeremy Irons plays two Gynecologist twins who fuck their patients and share them with each other while also abusing all sorts of drugs by prescribing them to their patients and then using them themselves until eventually the whole thing gets out of control …
i’m a fan of David Cronenberg ( the director ) and Jeremy Irons also did a good job and overall as i said it must have been an amazing film 35 years ago but it just feels a little bit dated now …
i still enjoyed it and still recommend it but it’s a lukewarm recommendation …
it’s worth viewing mainly for art history purposes so to speak …
