4 stars. classic high school prom romantic comedy for teen audiences.
maybe i just liked it because i was in high school when this movie came out or maybe because i think Julia Stiles was great.
there is a lot of really dumb shit in this movie but that goes with the genre.
overall great cast and decent plot with great chemistry between Ledger and Stiles
it’s a classic and pretty much benchmark for the genre but the genre itself is admittedly retarded hence 4 stars.
